Good afternoon AFS families,
Thank you to everyone who has already completed their annual authorization and demographic forms using their MyCBE account. If you have not already done so, please find some time this weekend to complete the forms. We are required, by the provincial government, to have these all completed and reviewed annually, by the end of September. Thank you for your attention to this need.
Swimming
THANK YOU to all the parents and family members who have stepped up to volunteer and make our 6 day swimming program a reality. With minimal support from Mr. Littel and Ms. Sharpe (or other support staff members) we will be able to meet our ratios and provide a safe changing and walking environment for all your children.
Fees for swimming will be posted soon, maybe even this weekend?!!? While you are in your MyCBE account completing updates, please check for the fee and pay that as well. The fee for every student is $33.75. If you are a family who accesses Fair Entry support from the City of Calgary your fee can be reduced to $8.00 IF you contact Ms. Sharpe and have a conversation. New this year, all families must apply for CBE waivers prior to the school being able to provide any school based support. Also new this year, the office can easily start the waiver process for you. We need you to ASK FOR HELP! We are here to support you however we can, we need to know that you require the support. If you have not requested a reduction in your swimming fee prior to October 4 the amount charged to your account will be $33.75. Thank you for communicating your needs.

Fun Lunch!
Deadline to order for next week's PAPA JOHN's fun lunch event is tomorrow, Friday September 20. Please sign up through Healthy Hunger! This is a school council run event that requires parent volunteers (with clearance), raises funds to support the school, reduces the need to pack a lunch one day a week, and is good fun for all the students. Thank you for your support.
