Thank you for your support of the Terry Fox Run, I do believe we made our goal of raising $1,600 this year. As of this Monday we had raised $1,563.15, and I know additional toonies have continued to arrive in the office this week.
On Tuesday morning we revealed our student created Alexander Ferguson Land Acknowledgement. Thank you to those family members who were able to join us for our thoughtful assembly. Please ask your child what it means to be an ally.
We are thankful to be able to welcome back the CBFY (Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth) lunch club. This grades 3 – 6 club will meet every Thursday lunch hour starting next week, October 8, until the end of March 2027. Potential lunch experiences include science experiments, making new friends, art activities, etc.
Please note, the attached poster states they will be eating snacks, this will not be happening as the club will meet in the Learning Commons. Food is not allowed in our Learning Commons.
All students will be given time in class to eat their own lunches prior to joining the club on a Thursday lunch hour. If additional time for eating is required after the club, time will be provided in the homeroom classroom.
To sign up please check out this poster: Thursday Club Opportunity The link is also accessed through a QR code. This program is free for all participants. We look forward to welcoming Ash and Jeramel to AFS to provide this programming to our students. Registration is limited to 20 students. If your child is interested in joining, please sign up today.
Grades 1- 3 students will be invited to join this club in April, providing a leadership opportunity for our grade 3 students who choose to participate during both sessions.
Have a wonderful weekend.
